Whether their text messages show up in blue or green bubbles or they opt to use Microsoft Office over Google Workspace, consumers are constantly making choices about which digital ecosystem to spend their time in. When it comes to shopping, gaming, communicating, managing personal finances and so much more, consumers are awash with UX-optimized apps and websites that integrate seamlessly into each other to create a cohesive platform experience.
When it comes to healthcare, however, no comprehensive accessible platform exists. Consumers are left to cobble together their care experience with clunky patient portals, emails, texts, outdated physician directories and confusing health benefits packages. This leaves them frustrated and demanding better. With new market entrants adding pressure on healthcare organizations to transform their consumer experience, the time for change is now. I believe transformation at this scale and with this level of urgency is best achieved through platformization.
