a unique program

Between 60% and 90% of strategies fail (Harvard Business Review) but the novelty and complexity of digital health provides additional challenge to strategists working in the field. As such, DHV-NET's strategy summer school offers a detailed overview of good practice based on sector-specific insight. This course illustrates the creativity required to support both development and implementation, from the soft skills required to gain stakeholder buy-in through to the structured approach necessary to support strategy development.  This program illustrates a range of frameworks associated with different strategy types and can act as a foundation to DHV-NET's strategy specific programs (GTM, Innovation, change through implementation and L&D).

The program is led by DHV-NET's CEO and strategy lead, Steven Dodsworth who featured on the front page of The Times business supplement for his pioneering work in digital health strategy over a decade ago. He has since founded 3 companies in the space and has become an experienced consultant and mentor to management teams in leading organizations. Steven shares his knowledge and understanding of the components required to build successful digital health strategy based on learning from over 3 decades of experience in the life sciences and digital health.

This program is designed for both experienced and entry level strategists with health, care or life science-related backgrounds who require the skills and knowledge to help their organization benefit from digital health-related innovation and is delivered through virtual group learning.

"I was thrilled with the impact the Digital Health Strategy 101 Summer School had on our team. Three of our staff members attended, and the insights they gained were invaluable. The course provided a comprehensive overview of strategy in digital health, offering unique sectoral insights that were relevant for both experienced strategists and those new to the field.

The format was incredibly diary-friendly, with just one hour per week over four weeks. Despite the short sessions, we covered an impressive range of topics - from developing and communicating vision to working with strategic frameworks. The interactive and engaging approach made the virtual learning experience both enjoyable and highly effective. We came away with more clarity and confidence about our strategy.

I would strongly encourage other organizations in the digital health space to take advantage of this course. It's an excellent opportunity to gain critical knowledge and skills that can drive your digital health initiatives forward. The value we received far exceeded our expectations."

"Steve led us through lunchtime sessions with a well-focused group of people from diverse digital health backgrounds and experience. Refreshingly, the NGO health approach was included so we have a voice and a way to say it, in a meaningful business sense.

For each module, a simple no-nonsense template provided the baseline which he reviewed, gave us time to discuss and could later set-up internally best suited to our organization activities and objectives.

Tools were shared which were valuable and delivered with sufficient time to spark interest amongst participants, enabling us to capture different perspectives, shared challenges and rearrange our thought processes.

All in all, I thank DHV-NET greatly, having learnt how to focus on a number of key priorities - leaving out the noise we are too often drowned in across media, internet channels and expecting over accomplishment which we don't have time for in this hectic world.

Cheers Steve, looking forward to more of the same!

I have a question about the 101 program.
